Biography

In 1989 Dr. Pasquale Iemma began his professional journey as an Associate’s degree-prepared nurse. Dr. Iemma earned his Master’s of Science degree in 2010 from Florida Atlantic University. He completed his Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Chamberlain University in 2016. Currently Dr. Iemma holds a certification in Professional Nursing Development through the ANCC and a specialty certification in In-Patient Obstetrics through the NCC. Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Iemma has embraced the importance of being a lifelong learner within all aspects of his life. This passion for learning assisted him well in developing a well-rounded armentarium of experience in both academia as well as clinical practice. Early on, Dr. Iemma recognized the significant challenges that faced nursing to change the way we prepare the next generation from meaningful practice. In the past 10 years, he has focused his efforts on leveraging high fidelity simulation as a way to narrow the chasm between didactic and traditional skills education to develop critical reasoning among student nurses.
