Entries for Serious Games Award Program Due April 1
Submissions May Be in English, French, Spanish, Dutch

LOS ANGELES – March 6, 2017 – Entries for the International Serious Play Awards, a program that recognizes outstanding single user browser, mobile and VR games designed for education, corporate training, government/military, healthcare/medical staff or patient games as well as exemplary games for museums and other non profits, are due April 1, 2017. This year, VR games can be entered. Universities may also submit student games, due May 1, 2017.

Any organization or individual that has created a serious game or simulation launched after April1, 2016 is eligible to enter the awards program. Entrants must provide a link to games or, in the case of mobile games, five copies of the game for judges. Games in English, Spanish, French and Dutch may be entered. Other languages on request.

“We are looking for the most effective and engaging games and sims,” Sue Bohle, Executive Director, Serious Games Association, said. “Serious Games have become a more and more popular means of learning and skill development, and the winning titles showcase the effectiveness of serious games and its advancements each year.”

Gold medal winners will demonstrated during the 2017 Serious Play ConferenceTuesday-Thursday, July 18-20, at George Mason University’s Science and Technology Campus in Manassas, Virginia. The conference is hosted this year by the Virginia Serious Games Institute.
