Training Leads from the DOD and its Contractors To Share Best Practices
For Game-Based Learning at Serious Play Conference in July at GMU

WASHINGTON, DC – February 20, 2017 – DOD training leads, contractors, State and local government CIOs will share what they’ve learned training the country’s armed forces with developers and instructional designers from the serious games industry Tuesday-Thursday, July 18 – 20, 2017 at George Mason University’s Science and Technology Campus in Manassas, Virginia.

Speakers include training personnel from the Office of National Intelligence, the Center for Deployment Psychology, Defense University, UCF, OPM and contractors from the Veterans Administration, the Army and the Navy, police departments and prisons.

The Serious Play Conference, now in its seventh year, brings together the leading serious games developers and instructional designers as well as educators, training leads and others implementing learning programs to share the cutting edge strategies and technologies driving the industry.

In addition to the 75 scheduled sessions, attendees will participate in interactive workshops on game design, funding opportunities and contracting tips.  A Game Arcade will feature Gold winners from the annual International Serious Play Awards competition.
